Job summary

VanRath Search & Selection is seeking a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join a leading M&E contractor in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The role requires delivering projects on time and within budget, coordinating labour and trades on site, and ensuring top quality installations.

The successful candidate will oversee labour control, procurement of materials and hire equipment, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide regular progress reports to the Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• Must have a plumbing/heating trade background.
• Demonstrable health and safety knowledge.
• PC literate with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Show care and attention to detail in all areas of installation.
• Organised and disciplined in your planning and approach to work.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Self-motivated with a 'can-do' approach to work and willingness to learn and assist.
• Work well and confidently as part of a team in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Responsible for the control of labour and their coordination with other trades on-site.
• Procurement of general day-to-day materials.
• Procurement and management of hire equipment on-site.
• Ensure all installations are of the highest quality.
• Ensuring the installation complies with the latest relevant regulations.
• Meeting with clients, main contractors, and subcontractors regularly.
• Preparation of short-term lookahead programmes and inputting into the overall master programme.
• Provide regular reports on progress and performance to the Contracts Manager.
• Carry out site based Health, Safety and Quality inspections.
