Job summary

Linea Recruitment Ltd is assisting a leading MEP contractor to recruit a Mechanical Site Manager for a major residential development in Basildon. You will oversee the mechanical installation on site, ensuring safety, programme delivery and quality standards.

The role requires managing day-to-day site works, supervising subcontractors and coordinating with other trades, with regular site meetings alongside the Project Manager. SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience as Mechanical Site Manager or Mechanical Supervisor on residential developments.
• Strong knowledge of building services (HVAC, plumbing, heating, ventilation).
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings; manage site teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day mechanical installation on site.
• Supervise mechanical subcontractors and site teams.
• Coordinate mechanical works with other MEP trades and construction teams.
• Monitor progress against programme and ensure quality.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and standards.

Mechanical Site Manager - Residential

Location: Basildon, Essex

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

We are currently working with a leading MEP contractor who are looking for an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their team on a major residential development in Basildon.

This is a great opportunity for a Mechanical Site Manager with a strong background in residential MEP projects to take responsibility for the mechanical installation and site delivery of a large-scale scheme.

The Role

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical works on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day mechanical installation on site
• Supervising mechanical subcontractors and site teams
• Coordinating mechanical works with other MEP trades and construction teams
• Monitoring progress against programme
• Ensuring works are completed to drawings, specifications and relevant standards
• Carrying out inspections and maintaining quality standards
• Attending site meetings and coordinating with the Project Manager
• Managing health & safety requirements on site
• Reporting progress, issues and variations to the project team

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor
• Strong experience working on residential developments
• Good knowledge of mechanical building services, including HVAC, plumbing, heating and ventilation
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Relevant SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
