Manpower UK is recruiting a Mechanical Shift Technician for a 24/7 Continental shift pattern (4 on, 4 off) at a Cumbria site. You will maintain and improve critical manufacturing equipment, carry out planned preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement to maximise uptime.

You should be a time-served mechanic with Level 3 qualifications, ONC/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, strong fault-finding skills, and experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, plus CMMS exposure and a

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
• Support reactive maintenance and breakdown response across site assets.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform maintenance on a wide range of industrial machinery.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
• Utilise CMMS systems to manage maintenance activities.
• Assist with training and development of apprentices and fellow technicians.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with site standards.
