Your new role

As a Mechanical Shift Technician, working a 3-on-3-off-shift pattern, you’ll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of heavy mechanical equipment across a busy operational environment. Working on a rolling shift pattern, your duties will include:

  1. Performing planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems such as conveyors, hydraulics, and rotating machinery.
  2. Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  3. Supporting project work and ensuring all tasks meet health, safety, and quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy plant and machinery in an industrial setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) and safety procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence.
