Job summary

Randstad CPE is hiring a Mechanical Shift Technician for a high-end commercial office in London. The role focuses on maintenance of mechanical systems, with an emphasis on plumbing and air conditioning on a busy site.

The suitable candidate will perform PPMs, reactive repairs, and small projects, while monitoring BMS and ensuring Legionella compliance and safe water hygiene. Continental days/nights and overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Air Conditioning (F-Gas beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, chillers, pipework and plumbing.
• Perform small project installs on site.
• Monitor Building Management Systems to ensure performance and comfort.
• Manage water hygiene, Legionella testing, L8 compliance and plumbing diagnostics.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and support installation or refurbishment works.

Looking for a high-earning operational role on a commercial site? We are hiring a Mechanical Shift Engineer with a background in Plumbing or Air Conditioning to join an established facilities maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across all mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, chillers, pipework, and commercial plumbing infrastructure.
• Small project installs
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal system performance and comfort levels.
• Manage water hygiene, Legionella testing, L8 compliance, and general plumbing diagnostics.
• Respond to emergency call-outs on-site and support minor installation or refurbishment works.

Requirements:

• NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering, or Air Conditioning (F-Gas beneficial).
