Salary: £44,983 per annum

Four on Four off Shift Pattern (Days and Nights)

Overtime paid at 1.5 times

In this role, you will be responsible for primarily mechanical maintenance inspections and routine repairs within all areas of the site to ensure reliability and safety while reducing downtime on critical assets. Working as part of a small team requires flexibility and a willingness to perform tasks outside of the role description.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Diagnose running faults and ensure effective repairs and improvements are conducted promptly.
2. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance practices.
3. Perform plant upgrades and modifications to standard.
4. Report all work through the computerised maintenance management system.
5. Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance and inspection programs to minimize downtime, record recurrent faults, and engineer solutions.
6. Anticipate machine failures and recommend changes to prevent reoccurrence.
7. Maintain SHEQ standards and complete all related documentation.
8. Foster a culture of motivation and commitment within the team to meet contract targets.
9. Assist in identifying lifecycle requirements and preparing capital applications and business cases for non-lifecycle capital purchases.

Requirements:

• Fit & active; the role involves maintenance on conveyors, magnet belts, eddy current separators in enclosed/restricted spaces, and working on overhead cranes (Working at Height).
• Minimum 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Mathematics and Physics.
• Recognised Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (ONC) in Mechanical discipline.
• Knowledge of waste processing equipment.
• IT literate, comfortable with business software and systems.
• Full UK driving license and residence within 20 miles of the site.
• Experience in an FMCG environment.
