Job summary

Kinetic plc seeks a Mechanical Shift Lead in Huyton, England. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, operate tissue converting & packaging equipment, and perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime. The role involves troubleshooting faults and collaborating with production teams to improve efficiency.

Experience in FMCG environments and with pneumatics, hydraulics, and automated systems is essential. This is a shift-based role (6am–6pm, 6pm–6am) with a salary around £55k.

Qualifications

Mechanical Shift Lead

Are you an Mechanical Maintenance Engineer looking for a new position? Is Huyton in Merseyside somewhere you can easily commute to? Happy with a salary including shift of circa £55500? Job Overview

Leading a multidisciplinary team of operators.
Operating equipment to the required standards while achieving set production targets.
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems, including tissue converting machinery, packaging equipment, and ancillary systems.
Troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults, implementing effective solutions to minimise downtime.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Collaborating with production teams to minimise downtime and address issues, while documenting maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations.
Assisting with new equipment installations and managing contractor relationships.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and developing maintenance procedures to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
Performing basic production operator tasks as required.

Salary and Shift

Salary: £55500

Shift: 3 on, 3 off days and nights (6am - 6pm / 6pm - 6am)
