Job summary

Control Recruitment Solutions Ltd. seeks a Shift Maintenance Engineer in Knowsley to maintain and optimise manufacturing and process machinery. The role covers a broad range of equipment including filling machinery, conveyors and packaging lines, with focus on reliability and efficiency.

The position requires an electrical bias and has a strong emphasis on collaboration with teams to ensure downtime reduction and safe plant operation.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias preferred but not essential.
• Food or beverage industry experience.
• Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain manufacturing and process machinery including filling, conveyors, high-speed processing, sensors/switches, pneumatics, PLCs, bearings, pumps, wrappers, palletizers, labellers, packaging machinery and steam systems.
• Reactive and preventive maintenance, changeovers, trials.
• Contribute to downtime improvements and HSE.

Salary £53,000 + pension + 20 days holiday + bonus + overtime

Hours 2 days 2 nights | 4 off | 7 - 7

The Job:

• Maintain manufacturing and process machinery such; filling machinery, conveyors, high speed materials processing machines, sensors / switches, pneumatics, PLC's, bearings, pumps, wrappers, palletizers, labellers, packaging machinery, steam systems.
• Reactive and preventive maintenance, changeovers, trials.
• Contribute to downtime improvements, HSE.

The Person:

• Electrical bias preferred but not essential. NVQ 3 or ONC or HNC
• Food or beverage industry experience
• Good communication, stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills important.
• Suitable backgrounds can include (but not limited to) manufacturing plant experience eg food, beverage, liquid filling, packaging, FMCG, automated warehousing, stackers, sorters / sortation, robotics, sensors, scanners, PLCs, Siemens, TIA, labellers, printing, canning, glass, plastics, pharmaceutical.
