Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a Camden-based commercial building in North London. The role is a temporary assignment with a view to permanent, offering an £26.00 per hour rate and a standard 8am-5pm, Monday-to-Friday schedule.

The successful candidate will carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance, including AHUs, chillers, water treatment, pumps and lighting. NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications are required and immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide copies of trade certificates.
• Mechanically / Plumbing qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 & 3.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Good communication skills and client facing.

Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical and fabric maintenance in a commercial building.
• Maintain air conditioning AHUs, FCUs and filter changes.
• Perform water treatment checks and quality monitoring.
• Inspect and service pumps, motors and UPS systems.
• Monitor BMS system and lighting control; assist with faults.

A Fantastic opportunity to work for a leading FM Service Provider situated in Camden, North London. CBW is currently looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based in a commercial building. The successful candidate will be mechanically biased (NVQ, C&G etc) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance. Working with the maintenance team on-site, he or she will be required to carry out mechanical, and fabric maintenance to the following.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Unit (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Chillers - Reset
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
• Pumps, motors
• Water Treatment
• BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & Colds)
• UPS Systems - Monitor / Take readings
• Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, Changing ballast, Control panel, Power distribution)
• Emergency lighting

Hours of work / Rate

• Monday - Friday
• 8am - 5pm
• Starting Immediately (Monday 20/07/26)
• Temp to permanent
• £26p/h
• Up to £46.5k

Requirements
