Energy Jobline ZR is recruiting a Mechanical Project Manager for building services pipework projects in the South West. You will own projects from planning through to completion, coordinating labour, materials and subcontractors, and engaging with clients.

The role offers ownership, progression and visibility with a growing mechanical business. You will work closely with senior management and site teams to deliver technically demanding pipework installations while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Taking full ownership of mechanical pipework projects
• Reviewing specifications, drawings and contractual requirements
• Producing project programmes and delivery plans
• Coordinating labour, materials, plant and subcontractors
• Managing project budgets, forecasts and variations

• Identifying technical or commercial risks at an early stage

Our client is an established mechanical building services contractor delivering pipework projects across the South West and surrounding regions. With a healthy pipeline and continued growth planned, the company is now looking to strengthen its project delivery team with an experienced Mechanical Project Manager. This is a business where individuals are trusted to take ownership. You will work closely with senior management and have the opportunity to influence how projects are planned, resourced and delivered.

The Role

The Mechanical Project Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical building services pipework projects. You will manage projects from the initial handover and planning stages through to installation, commissioning and completion.

What Youll Need

You will need proven experience delivering mechanical building services or pipework projects. You should be able to demonstrate:

• A strong understanding of mechanical pipework installations
• Experience managing projects from planning through to handover
• The ability to manage programmes, budgets and resources
• Good commercial awareness
• Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors
• Confidence dealing directly with clients
• The ability to understand drawings and technical information
• A practical and solution-focused approach
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A good understanding of construction health and safety
• A relevant mechanical or building services qualification would be beneficial, although strong practical experience will be equally important
