Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead the MEP package on a major commercial construction project in London. You will oversee design coordination, sequencing and safety, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Based in London Bridge, you will manage HVAC, pipework and plumbing scopes, coordinate with electrical and construction teams, and drive subcontractor performance from pre-construction to handover.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in MEP construction.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, pipework and plumbing systems.
• Experience managing mechanical packages, subcontractors, programmes and budgets.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical package from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Oversee day-to-day project delivery, ensuring works are completed in line with programme and specification.
• Coordinate mechanical installations with electrical, construction and other project teams.
• Manage subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and specialist contractors.
• Monitor project progress, costs, variations, procurement and commercial performance.
• Ensure all works comply with current health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to maintain project progress.

Job DescriptionMechanical Project Manager – MEP Construction Location: London Bridge, London Project Value: £25 Million Project Duration: 2 Years Salary: £450-£500 a day The Opportunity We are currently working with a well known contractor who is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their team on a major commercial construction project in the London Bridge area. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of the mechanical package on a substantial £25 million MEP project, with an anticipated two-year programme. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing mechanical delivery, ensuring the project is completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards. We are looking for a driven and commercially aware Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in the MEP construction sector and experience delivering large-scale commercial projects.
