Job summary

Morson Group requires an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead several Midlands-based projects for a leading building services contractor. The role covers mechanical management on sites with electrical values up to circa £3m, with a focus on commercial, leisure and education sectors.

Reporting to the operational lead, you will oversee inception to completion, assist with design and planning, manage site installation, and control costs and commercials across up to three projects

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of project management or contracts management roles.
• Results-driven attitude and leadership of site teams.
• Excellent client facing skills.
• Design review and variations management.
• Financial management of designated projects.
• Managing site issues and deadlines, with health and safety on site.
• Degree / HNC in Building Services and SMSTS/CSCS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Run mechanical aspects of projects on multiple sites (max three simultaneously).
• Oversee inception through to completion, including design and project planning.
• Supervise site installation and ensure on-time delivery.
• Control costs and supervise commercial management of projects.
• Coordinate with the operational lead and manage health & safety on site.

MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER - PERMANENT - WALSALL - circa £70,000 per annum

Morson Group require an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading building services contractor on a permanent basis to manage several projects across the Midlands.

Candidates should have a strong contracting background as a mechanical manager and ideally experience of high value commercial or industrial projects.

This is a permanent position available from Autumn 2026.

The role will be predominantly office based in South Staffordshire area with site visits as required.

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will be reporting into the overall operational lead with responsibility for all mechanical elements on busy sites with electrical values up to approximately £3m, within sectors such as commercial, leisure and education.

The Mechanical Project Manager will be fully responsible for the running of projects (up to a maximum of three at one time) from inception through to completion, assisting on design and project planning, overseeing site installation, as well as all cost control and commercial management.

This position for a Mechanical Project Manager will offer an annual salary of circa £70,000 per annum plus company benefits, including a car or car allowance.
