Job Title: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Peterborough, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £52,000 - £58,000

An established M&E Contractor based in Peterborough is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager to join their expanding team.

This is a great opportunity for a dynamic professional with cradle-to-grave commercial expertise. The role involves managing both tendering and overseeing installation projects and mechanical maintenance contracts for clients in the Commercial and Industrial sectors, primarily in the Peterborough area.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop strong relationships with key customers.
2. Manage multiple projects efficiently and within deadlines.
3. Handle initial customer enquiries and produce project quotations, liaising with team members and departments.
4. Allocate workload, ensuring standards, quality, and customer deadlines are met.
5. Ensure all services comply with statutory regulations.
6. Produce RAMS, conduct site visits, and carry out audits.
7. Develop existing customer relationships and generate new business opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous project management experience in gas, heating, and plumbing projects.
• Hold relevant commercial gas, heating, and plumbing qualifications.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with peers, staff, suppliers, and clients.
• Health & Safety conscious.
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt flexibly.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills for managing colleagues and subcontractors.
• Self-motivated, inquisitive, enthusiastic, and committed.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
