Mechanical Projects Manager Location: Peterborough Salary: £52,000 – £58,000 (DOE) + Excellent BenefitsWe're working exclusively with a long-standing, reputable service provider in the facilities maintenance sector, currently on the lookout for an ambitious and experienced Mechanical Projects Manager to join their growing team. About the Role:This is a pivotal role for a mechanically qualified professional with experience in gas, heating, and plumbing systems who enjoys managing projects from initial enquiry to completion. Based primarily in the Peterborough area, you'll manage mechanical maintenance contracts and oversee projects for a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.If you're someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys building customer relationships, and is motivated to grow both personally and professionally, this role offers real scope to make an impact. ️ Key Responsibilities: * Manage multiple mechanical projects simultaneously across the commercial and industrial sectors * Prepare tenders and quotations from initial customer enquiry * Oversee project delivery, ensuring works are completed to high standards and within deadlines * Build and maintain strong customer relationships and seek opportunities to expand accounts * Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and produce RAMS * Carry out site visits, audits, and quality checks regularly * Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth project execution * Represent the company with professionalism and drive at all times What You’ll Need: * Proven experience managing mechanical (gas, heating & plumbing) projects * Formerly held commercial gas, heating & plumbing qualifications * Strong understanding of health & safety practices (IOSH, NEBOSH, or SMSTS – desirable) * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills * A proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong organisational abilities * Motivational leadership skills to inspire teams and subcontractors alike * A full UK driving licence and solid IT literacy (Word, Excel, Office) What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary of £52,000 – £58,000 depending on experience * Commercial vehicle (available for personal use if ) * 22 days holiday + bank holidays * 3% employer pension contribution * 3 months’ full salary cover for long-term sickness * Healthcare Cash Plan and Employee Assistance Programme * Flexible office-based role with occasional remote work optionsIf you’re looking to take the next step in your career with a stable, people-first company where your expertise will be valued and rewarded – we’d love to hear from you.
