Building Careers UK is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead residential mechanical building services projects in the Manchester region. You will oversee projects from planning to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical services in residential developments, subcontractor coordination, programme management, cost control, and effective client liaison to drive successful handovers.

Responsibilities

• Manage residential mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and schedules.
• Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and health & safety.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Manage project risks, variations, technical issues, and programme changes.
• Ensure mechanical works are delivered in accordance with drawings, specifications, contracts, and relevant regulations.
• Attend site and progress meetings, providing regular updates to clients and senior management.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure key milestones and deadlines are achieved.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging, and final handover.

Our client is looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join their growing team, managing residential building services projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical building services, with proven experience managing projects within the residential sector. You will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial planning through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage residential mechanical projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
