Job summary

MK Search is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a prestigious prison project in Devizes, Wiltshire. The role focuses on delivering the mechanical package safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will lead the mechanical delivery from pre-construction through to handover, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and oversee programme, cost control, and reporting while ensuring MoJ/H&S compliance and strong client liaison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services.
• Experience delivering large-scale MoJ/prison projects desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical delivery from pre-construction through to handover.

We are working with a well-respected M&E contractor, backed by one of the UK's largest and longest-established main contractors, to recruit a Mechanical Project Manager for a prestigious prison project in Devizes, Wiltshire.

The Role

As Mechanical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the mechanical package on a complex custodial scheme, ensuring delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

You will:

• Lead the mechanical delivery from pre-construction through to handover
• Manage subcontractors, site teams, and specialist suppliers
• Oversee programme, cost control, procurement, and reporting
• Ensure full compliance with MoJ standards, H&S, and quality procedures
