Job summary

MK Search is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager for a prestigious prison project in Devizes, Wiltshire. The role focuses on delivering the mechanical package safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

You will lead the mechanical delivery from pre-construction through to handover, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and oversee programme, cost control, and reporting while ensuring MoJ/H&S compliance and strong client liaison.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services.
• Experience delivering large-scale MoJ/prison projects desirable.
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical building services systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical delivery from pre-construction through to handover.
• Manage subcontractors, site teams, and specialist suppliers.
• Oversee programme, cost control, procurement, and reporting.
• Ensure full compliance with MoJ standards, H&S, and quality procedures.
• Work closely with the main contractor and client representatives.
• Drive performance, coordination, and technical excellence on site.
