Llewellyn-James & Co. Construction recruitment is supporting a Data Centre project based on-site in Blyth, Northumberland.

The Mechanical Package Manager will lead deployment of HVAC, pipework and related infrastructure to meet programme, quality and safety standards. Candidate must hold a degree-level qualification or equivalent, with 6+ years in data centre or large-scale construction roles and the right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant degree level qualification or equivalent trades background.
• Must have 6+ years previous experience in a similar role on Data Centres or similar large-scale construction projects.
• Must have UK Passport or RTW in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework and associated infrastructure, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, quality and safety expectations.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring coordination, productivity and adherence to project requirements across all phases of delivery.
• Plan and monitor mechanical installation activities, ensuring alignment with overall project programme and resolving any clashes or delays.
• Drive QA/QC processes across mechanical works, supporting inspections, testing and commissioning to ensure systems meet design and operational standards.
• Work closely with electrical, CSA and commissioning teams to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems within a complex data centre environment.

Our client is a dedicated Data Centre Construction company providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe. As an engineering-focused organisation, they have grown to become one of the leading and most trusted companies in our sector.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Package Manager to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Blyth, Northumberland.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Package Delivery: Lead the delivery of mechanical systems including HVAC, pipework and associated infrastructure, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, quality and safety expectations.
• Subcontractor & Supply Chain Management: Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring coordination, productivity and adherence to project requirements across all phases of delivery.
• Programme Management & Sequencing: Plan and monitor mechanical installation activities, ensuring alignment with overall project programme and resolving any clashes or delays.
• Quality Control & Commissioning Support: Drive QA/QC processes across mechanical works, supporting inspections, testing and commissioning to ensure systems meet design and operational standards.
• Cross-Discipline Coordination: Work closely with electrical, CSA and commissioning teams to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems within a complex data centre environment.
