Job summary

MTrec Limited in Gateshead is seeking a Temporary Mechanical Technician to join a specialist manufacturing site. You will perform general maintenance of plant facilities, support a fellow technician, and respond swiftly to breakdowns. The role offers dayshift hours and on-site parking.

Immediate start may be available for the right candidate, with potential to go permanent as the business grows. You will work in a small team, communicating effectively and maintaining equipment to minimize

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering/manufacturing maintenance.
• NVQ Level 3 in a related discipline is desirable.
• Welding skills are desirable.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance of the plant facilities, equipment and premises (pallet trucks, handling equipment, pipeworks etc.).
• Working alongside and supporting another junior maintenance technician who has just completed their apprenticeship.
• Reacting to any urgent breakdowns and resolving in a timely manner.
