MTrec Recruitment is partnering with a leading manufacturing client to recruit an experienced maintenance engineer. The role focuses on ensuring reliable plant performance through proactive maintenance, fault-finding, and support for installations and improvements.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on mechanical and electrical expertise, be able to work both independently and within a small team, and demonstrate a proactive, safety-conscious approach to daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining and fault-finding industrial production equipment.
• Experience working with electrical systems and equipment up to 415V.
• Good knowledge of three-phase electrical systems.
• Mechanical maintenance experience, including pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes and drive systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small engineering team.
• Experience managing a varied workload across planned maintenance, projects, installations and breakdowns.
• Ideally apprentice-trained or holding relevant engineering qualifications.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding knowledge.
• Evidence of ongoing professional and technical development.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
• Responding to equipment breakdowns and minimising production downtime.
• Supporting equipment installations and modifications.
• Contributing to engineering improvements and reliability initiatives.
• Working collaboratively with the wider engineering and production teams.
• Maintaining a high standard of health, safety and housekeeping.
