Job summary

Veolia in Tidworth is seeking a field maintenance professional to inspect, service and repair Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region. The role includes standby cover, typically 1 week in 4, with additional pay for overtime, and occasional work at other sites within the Southern Region.

You will complete test reports and installation certificates, while coordinating with customers and stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Experience of operating plant in maintenance environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• NVQ or recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, services and repairs on Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region.
• Undertake standby cover and overtime as part of a rota (usually 1 week in 4, with extra pay).
• May work at other locations within the Southern Region.
• Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and customers.

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Location: Tidworth as your primary location, but will be required to work at other locations when required.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist with carrying out inspections, services and repairs on both Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region.
• Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as part of a rota, typically 1 week in 4 for which additional payment will be made.
• You may also be required to work at other locations within the Southern Region.
• Assist with completing test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Working alongside key stakeholders and customers teams, so good communication skills are essential.
• Help to ensure energy efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks
• Help reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first time fixes
• Look to develop and deliver innovation and opportunities to maximise efficiency within the operational teams.

What we’re looking for:

• Full UK Driving License
• Experience of plant operations
• NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 2
• Must be able to pass a Security Clearance in line with the Ministry of Defence vetting as well as a Police CRB background screening assessment
