Job summary

Veolia in Tidworth is recruiting for a maintenance role focused on inspecting, servicing and repairing Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region. The role includes standby and overtime duties, typically 1 week in 4, with additional pay.

You may work at other locations within the Southern Region and will complete test reports, certificates and customer feedback documents. Strong communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of plant operations and maintenance in utility or industrial settings.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Eligibility to obtain MoD security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inspections, servicing and repairs on Waste and Clean water assets in the Southern Region.
• Provide standby cover and overtime as part of a rota (roughly 1 in 4 with extra pay).
• Potentially work at other locations within the Southern Region as needed.
• Complete test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and customer teams; maintain clear communication.
• Support energy efficient operation and minimise downtime and pollution risks.
• Drive improvements to maintenance tasks and efficiency within operations.

Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum plus Veolia benefits, depending on skills and experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location: Tidworth as your primary location, but will be required to work at other locations when required.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist with carrying out inspections, services and repairs on both Waste and Clean water assets across the Southern Region.
• Undertake standby cover and overtime as required as part of a rota, typically 1 week in 4 for which additional payment will be made.
• You may also be required to work at other locations within the Southern Region.
• Assist with completing test reports, installation certificates and customer feedback documents.
• Working alongside key stakeholders and customers teams, so good communication skills are essential.
• Help to ensure energy efficient operation of assets and minimise downtime and potential pollution risks
• Help reduce raw material usage on assets by completing thorough service and maintenance tasks using first time fixes
• Look to develop and deliver innovation and opportunities to maximise efficiency within the operational teams.

What we're looking for:

• Full UK Driving License
• Experience of plant operations
• NVQ or a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering maintenance at Level 2
• Must be able to pass a Security Clearance in line with the Ministry of Defence vetting as well as a Police CRB background screening assessment
