Job summary

Crown Peterborough is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing site. You will maintain, repair and optimise back-end production machinery to sustain high levels of efficiency, quality and performance.

The role offers a shift-based pattern and a strong track record of plant excellence. You will diagnose faults, complete planned maintenance and contribute to continuous improvement projects while upholding high safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Mechanical Apprenticeship or NVQ (or equivalent) is essential.
• Experience working with production machinery and equipment.
• Strong fault diagnosis and proactive maintenance mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and improve back-end production machinery to ensure high efficiency and quality.
• Diagnose faults and carry out maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement reliable solutions.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and high engineering standards.

The Opportunity

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving back-end production machinery to ensure high levels of efficiency, quality, and performance.

You’ll take ownership of equipment reliability, diagnosing faults, completing maintenance activities, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This is a role where your expertise directly impacts production output and operational success.
