Job summary

Flogas Britain is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Bristol to ensure safe operation of equipment, perform troubleshooting, and manage repairs using CMMS. You will work with experienced engineers on LPG tank installations and contribute to reliability improvements while aligning with safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ Level 3 with 5 years post-apprenticeship experience and may be pursuing HNC or NVQ Level 4.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification with 5 years post Apprenticeship experience.
  • Desirable to be working towards or have attained HNC or NVQ Level 4.
  • Experience on industrial process plants in the chemical or oil and gas industry would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Troubleshoot and maintain site equipment in both planned and crash situations.
  • Identify faulty equipment through observation, trouble shooting and testing metrics.
  • Source replacement parts and perform repairs.
  • Work with site operations personnel to identify bad acting equipment and identify improvement strategies to improve reliability.
  • Attend daily shift meetings to prioritize work orders and minimize downtime.

How you’ll power our business as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Reporting into the Senior Maintenance Supervisor, you will initially work alongside experience engineers to undertake the technical installations and inspections of large LPG tanks.

Here’swhatyou’llbe doing

Ensure correct and safe operation of equipment and machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Whatwe’llneed from you

Qualified to a minimum of a NVQ Level 3 with at least 5 years post Apprenticeship experience, it would be desirable for them to be working towards or havingattaineda Qualified to HNC or NVQ Level 4.

Work experience on industrial process plants in the chemical or oil and gas industry would be an advantage

An understanding of condition monitoring techniques and best practice lubrication practice would be an advantage to the successful candidate.

As strong safety and work quality attitude will be essential.
