Job summary

Bridgnorth Aluminium Ltd. is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the safe, reliable operation of plant and equipment. You will perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance, diagnose faults, and contribute to improvements across the site.

Applicants should have strong mechanical engineering background in industrial maintenance and a solid understanding of hydraulic systems. Expect 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off cycle, with day and night rotas and shift allowances

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial maintenance within manufacturing.
• Ability to diagnose faults and repair mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance on site machinery, including pumps, motors, conveyors, compressors, valves, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults, inspect equipment for wear or defects, and carry out repairs, testing and performance checks.
• Install, align and commission mechanical equipment using drawings, manuals and specs.
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency maintenance requirements to restore equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation with hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Support plant shutdowns, maintenance projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement.
