Job summary

ATA Recruitment is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a heavy manufacturing site in Kirton, Nottinghamshire. The role focuses on maintaining and improving a wide range of heavy industrial equipment to maximise plant reliability.

You will work a 4 on 4 off days and nights pattern, with duties including PPM, breakdown repairs, mechanical strip-downs, fault finding and basic fabrication. Excellent benefits accompany the position.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or similar.
• Experience in manufacturing/heavy engineering environments.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Welding and fabrication experience desirable.
• NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC/HNC/HND Level 3 engineering qualification.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding to breakdowns and completing reactive repairs.
• Mechanical strip-downs, repairs and rebuilds.
• Fault finding and root cause analysis.
• Welding, fabrication and basic machining work.
• Supporting continuous improvement activities.
• Following safe systems of work and LOTO procedures.
