CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is recruiting for Mechanical Maintenance Managers to join a healthcare contract in Birmingham. The role focuses on delivering a high-quality mechanical maintenance service across a complex healthcare estate, supervising engineers and contractors and coordinating day-to-day activities on a site-based basis.

The position offers a competitive salary (£40,000 - £45,000 per annum), 37.5-hour weeks, on-call rota, 25 days leave plus bank holidays, and a generous pension with

Qualifications

• Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating.
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, estates or facilities management.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver mechanical maintenance services across the healthcare estate.
• Plan and monitor planned preventative maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Supervise engineers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure safe, effective work.
• Support budgets, procurement and supplier management.
• Carry out audits, inspections and safety checks.
• Participate in on-call rota and emergency repairs as needed.
• Work with the wider Estates and Facilities team across the site.

Mechanical Maintenance Manager - Birmingham - Global Facilities Management Organisation: Healthcare

CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for three Mechanical Maintenance Managers to join our facilities management client's healthcare contract in Birmingham. The successful candidates will support the delivery of a high-quality mechanical maintenance service across a complex healthcare estate.

This is a site-based opportunity supporting a major healthcare estate in Birmingham. The role will involve managing mechanical maintenance activities, engineering teams, contractors and day-to-day services across the estate.

Package

• Competitive salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)
• Participation in an 'out of hours' on call rota (to be confirmed)
• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the delivery of mechanical maintenance services across the healthcare estate.
• Plan and monitor planned preventative maintenance across mechanical plant and equipment.
• Supervise engineers, contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
• Monitor maintenance standards, response times and quality of works.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and health & safety requirements.
• Review contractor RAMS and carry out site inspections where required.
• Support condition surveys, lifecycle works and maintenance projects.
• Assist with budgets, procurement and supplier management.
• Manage staff performance, rotas, training and appraisals.
• Carry out audits, inspections and safety checks.
• Support emergency repairs and participate in the on-call rota when required.
• Work closely with the wider Estates and Facilities team across the site.

Requirements

• Qualified to at least Level 3 City & Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance Engineering or Plumbing & Heating or equivalent.
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, engineering, estates or facilities management.
• Good knowledge of mechanical building services and maintenance.
• Experience supervising staff, contractors or subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy, multi-disciplinary healthcare environment.
• Healthcare experience would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required.
