Job summary

Interaction Recruitment Group is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer in Skelmersdale to take over from a retiring colleague. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across industrial equipment, troubleshoot faults, and drive improvements to keep production running smoothly.

The role involves 6:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00 shifts on a rotating pattern, with overtime opportunities and full on-site training provided. Prior manufacturing maintenance experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience fault-finding and resolving production machine faults to minimise downtime.
• Electrically biased or multi-skilled engineers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Minimise downtime by identifying faults and implementing practical solutions.
