Job summary

Marshalls plc, Burton upon Trent, is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter on a 3‑week rotating pattern (days and nights 6:00–18:00) with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no Sundays. The role offers a salary of £49,305–£53,519 p.a. DOE, plus overtime and benefits.

You will provide engineering support across the site, delivering planned maintenance and breakdown responses on production equipment, ensuring safety and reliability while supporting CI improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as a maintenance fitter in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Hands-on maintenance approach.
• Strong mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics skills.
• Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and provide accurate recommendations.
• Experience with CMMS SAP PM module.
• Experience managing contractors.
• Experience with CI to drive performance improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and maintenance services across the Burton site.
• Deliver planned preventive maintenance on process equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and repairs promptly.
• Ensure equipment is maintained safely and efficiently.
• Work with CI to deliver performance improvements.
