Job summary

Multitask Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults and support improvements to machinery and equipment, working with bearings, gearboxes, pumps and conveyors. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of 35,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with industrial machinery and preventive/reactive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the site.
• Respond to mechanical breakdowns and perform fault finding.
• Repair and maintain production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Work on bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors and drives.
• Identify recurring faults and propose improvements.
• Perform routine inspections and servicing.
• Support machinery installation and improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and minimise downtime.
