Multitask Recruitment Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing business based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose mechanical faults and support improvements to machinery and equipment, working with bearings, gearboxes, pumps and conveyors. This is a permanent, full-time role with a salary of 35,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.

The Role

As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site, diagnosing mechanical faults and supporting improvements to machinery and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Responding to mechanical breakdowns and carrying out effective fault finding.
• Repairing and maintaining production machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Working on bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors and mechanical drives.
• Identifying recurring faults and recommending improvements.
• Carrying out routine inspections and servicing.
• Supporting machinery installation and improvement projects.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records.
• Working closely with production teams to minimise machinery downtime.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised engineering environment.

About You

We are looking for a practical, reliable and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with strong fault-finding skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem‑solving ability.
