Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to own and optimise maintenance on a modern, fast-paced production site. You will keep critical equipment like boilers, chillers, and utilities running to hit daily targets.

You’ll perform planned and reactive maintenance, assist with fabrication and installation, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding strict safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working on production and process equipment in a factory.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills on mechanical systems.
• Experience with boilers, chillers, compressors and utilities.
• Understanding of planned and reactive maintenance in a fast-moving environment.
• Computer literacy for CMMS and stores systems.
• Water treatment/boiler testing experience desirable.
• Electrical competency is a bonus but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality mechanical maintenance across production equipment to meet performance targets.
• Carry out mechanical setup, changeovers and production support.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns quickly and effectively.
• Perform planned preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Support fabrication, machining and installation of plant and machinery.
• Respond to first-line issues across boilers, chillers, compressors and site utilities.
• Work safely following site standards and contribute to safety culture.
• Use stores systems and CMMS accurately.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
