Job summary

Randstad CPE on a static site in Oxford is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their facilities team. The role offers progression and training, with a competitive salary up to £40,000 and benefits including pension and holidays.

You will perform PPM and reactive maintenance, manage documentation, and oversee sub-contractors while ensuring health and safety standards are met. DBS clearance is required for the position.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Mechanical qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in a commercial environment with strong building services knowledge.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• DBS check eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the required paperwork.
• Perform Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and document them.
• On a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours coverage.
• Oversee visiting sub-contractors to ensure quality and health & safety.
• Complete all duties per company policies and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure work complies with Health and Safety policies.
• Daily PPM and Reactive tasks including UPS, plumbing, boiler room checks, cooling towers, FCUs/AHU/Fans, heating pumps.

My client is an established FM company looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical maintenance engineer to join a team on a static site based in Oxford. Main Duties will include:

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports.
• Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
• Overseeing visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks including - UPS system and associated control systems, Plumbing and drainage systems, Boiler room checks , Cooling towers, Fan coil units / AHU's/ Fans , Heating Pumps

The Ideal candidate will have:

• City & Guilds / NVQ Mechanically Qualified (or equivalent)
• Experience in a commercial environment & Good building services knowledge
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Be able to pass a DBS check
