Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Clevedon is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to tackle challenging engineering tasks and maximise earnings through overtime. The role is hands-on in a busy production environment, maintaining a wide range of machinery and driving reliability.

The position requires a Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent, plus solid maintenance experience in manufacturing. Expect long shifts with attractive overtime options and comprehensive site upgrades.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance role.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding with hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Maintaining pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and drive systems.
• Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime.
• Supporting upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.
• Identifying recurring faults and supporting continuous improvement.
• Collaborating with electrical engineers and production teams to resolve issues.
• Maintaining high health and safety standards and accurate records.
