Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd in Clevedon is seeking a mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer to tackle challenging engineering tasks and maximise earnings through overtime. The role is hands-on in a busy production environment, maintaining a wide range of machinery and driving reliability.

The position requires a Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent, plus solid maintenance experience in manufacturing. Expect long shifts with attractive overtime options and comprehensive site upgrades.

Qualifications

Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
Experience in a manufacturing/industrial maintenance role.
Strong mechanical fault-finding with hydraulics/pneumatics knowledge.

Responsibilities

Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Maintaining pumps, gearboxes, bearings, conveyors and drive systems.
Responding to breakdowns and minimising downtime.
Supporting upgrades, installations and commissioning projects.
Identifying recurring faults and supporting continuous improvement.
Collaborating with electrical engineers and production teams to resolve issues.
Maintaining high health and safety standards and accurate records.
