Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance in a modern, high-spec office environment.
• Service and repair FCUs and related components (valves, actuators, motors).
• Diagnose faults quickly to minimise downtime and keep systems running.
• Ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Knightsbridge Salary: £47,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, split shifts of 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team at a prestigious site near Knightsbridge. This is a hands-on position ideal for an engineer who takes pride in maintaining high-quality building services and ensuring all mechanical plant equipment operates at peak efficiency. You'll be involved in both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, helping to keep the building running smoothly and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance within a modern, high-spec office environment
• Service and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated components, including valves, actuators, and motors
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
• Ensure all building systems function safely and efficiently, maintaining a comfortable
• workspace
• Work as part of a Monday-to-Friday split-shift rota, covering either 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm

Requirements

• City & Guilds mechanical qualification (or equivalent)
• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within commercial or office buildings
• Experience working with cooling towers is essential
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and general building services
• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator with strong organisation and teamwork abilities
