Job summary

PRS is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a prestigious Knightsbridge site. The role involves hands-on maintenance of building services, with a focus on ensuring mechanical plant operates at peak efficiency and handling PPM and reactive repairs.

The successful candidate will service FCUs, valves, actuators and motors, diagnose faults quickly, and work on a Monday–Friday split-shift rota (7am-4pm or 9am-6pm).

Qualifications

• City & Guilds mechanical qualification (or equivalent).
• Experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally within commercial buildings.
• Experience with cooling towers is essential.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance in a modern, high-spec office environment.
• Service and repair FCUs and associated components, including valves, actuators, and motors.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all building systems function safely and efficiently, maintaining a comfortable workspace.
• Work as part of a Monday–Friday split-shift rota, covering either 7am-4pm or 9am-6pm.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Knightsbridge

Salary: £47,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, split shifts of 7am-4pm and 9am-6pm

We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s team at a prestigious site near Knightsbridge. This is a hands-on position ideal for an engineer who takes pride in maintaining high-quality building services and ensuring all mechanical plant equipment operates at peak efficiency. You’ll be involved in both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs, helping to keep the building running smoothly and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance within a modern, high-spec office environment
• Service and repair Fan Coil Units (FCUs) and associated components, including valves, actuators, and motors
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and effectively to minimise downtime

Requirements

• Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills
