Job summary

Edge Recruits is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a Plymouth-based manufacturing site. The role involves working on varied shift patterns to ensure reliability and safety of plant assets, with a focus on preventative maintenance and fault finding.

The position offers training and development within a safety-focused environment. It is a permanent, full-time role with 37.5 hours per week, on-site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems and breakdown repair.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Capable of working under pressure and handling unplanned issues.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Perform preventative planned maintenance to ensure asset safety and reliability.
• Conduct fault finding on assets and repair machine breakdowns.
• Identify and support corrective actions on asset and process limitations.
• Work with single phase and three phase electrical circuits.
• Engage in training and development opportunities.
• Seek to improve reliability and cost-effectiveness of assets.
• Contribute to company objectives and values.
