Job summary

Hunter Selection Ltd is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Plymouth to join a bespoke manufacturer. The role offers long-term progression within a first-class manufacturing environment and exposure to both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks.

You will perform PPMs, breakdown support, fault finding and drive improvements while maintaining high H&S standards. Flexible hours and a strong emphasis on Lean practices are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Time served as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance role.
• Ideally apprentice trained.
• Strong communication skills.
• Multiskilled engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPMs.
• Deal with all breakdowns on site, minimising downtime.
• Fault find on all machinery to identify issues.
• Adhere to high H&S standards and foster a positive culture.
• Look at continuous improvement and influence processes.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join an excellent bespoke manufacturer in the Plymouth area.

With no day ever being the same the Maintenance Engineer role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPMs
• Dealing with all Breakdowns on site, keeping downtime to a minimum
• Fault Finding on all Machinery to identify issues
• Adhere to a high level of H&S and instigate a positive culture
• Look at continuous improvement and have a direct influence on processes
• Worked with and installed single phase / three phase electrical motors
• Be flexible with working hours
• Knowledge and understanding of 5s and Lean Manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Time served as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• 2 years’ experience minimum
• Ideally Apprentice Trained
• Strong Communication Skills
• Multi skilled Engineering experience
