Job summary

INDSW is seeking a mechanically biased maintenance engineer for their Birmingham site. The role offers a 4on/4off shift pattern (days and nights 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) with a salary of £55,000 - £59,400 DOE and a structured progression plan.

On-site facilities include an gym and comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will have at least 4 years in maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery, with hydraulics/pneumatics, bearings, belts and chains.

Qualifications

• Qualified to level 3 (NVQ/C&G) in mechanical discipline.
• Experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of special purpose machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform root cause analysis.
• Assist with training and up-skilling as part of progression.

Experience required for the mechanical maintenance engineer:

• Qualified to level 3 (NVQ/C&G) or Apprenticeship served in a mechanical discipline
• Is advantageous, this can be through the military (ex-forces)
• least 4years experience maintaining/repairing special purpose machinery - any heavy industry is advantageous but not a deal breaker
• mechanically competent - hydraulics/pneumatics, bearings, straps, belts, chains etc.
