Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a static site in Oxford. You will perform PPM, reactive maintenance, and out-of-hours cover, ensuring health and safety compliance and accurate documentation.

The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds/NVQ mechanically qualified or equivalent, with commercial building services experience and DBS eligibility. A team-working, proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ mechanically qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in a commercial environment with good building services knowledge.
• Team player with ability to pass a DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the paperwork.
• Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
• Be on a call out rota to provide out of hours cover.
• Overseeing visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.
• Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and complete all work related documentation accurately and on time.
• Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Daily PPM and Reactive Maintenance tasks including - UPS system and associated control systems, Plumbing and drainage systems, Boiler room checks , Cooling towers, Fan coil units / AHU's/ Fans , Heating Pumps

Skills

Experience in a commercial environment

Main Duties will include:
