Job summary

Multi Trades Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established company at Alderley Park in the Macclesfield area. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across the site, fault find on HVAC systems, pumps and motors, and prepare parts lists with timescales and reports.

The role requires recognised mechanical and electrical qualifications, 18th Edition, and a strong health and safety focus.

Qualifications

• Meets recognised Mechanical Engineer qualification.
• Meets recognised Electrical Engineer qualification.
• Hold 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the site.
• Fault find and maintain mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, BMS, LTHW, CLTHW, pumps and motors.
• Produce parts lists and timescales with condition reports.
• Support wider engineering team and respond to out-of-hours calls as needed.

Job description

Multi Trades Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer to begin work for a well-established company at Alderley Park in the Macclesfield area.

About the role:

• Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 15:00
• £21.02 per hour PAYE (£41k salary equivalent)
• Start: Monday, 7 September 2026
• End: Monday, 9 November 2026
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across the site
• Fault finding and maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, BMS, LTHW, CLTHW, pumps and motors
• Producing parts lists, estimated timescales and condition/dilapidation reports where required
• Out-of-hours call-out support may be required
• Working independently while also supporting the wider engineering team

• Strong mechanical and plumbing knowledge
• Experience fault finding HVAC systems and plant

• Understanding of L8 ACOP
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Able to manage and prioritise workload
• Good communication skills and able to work with clients and site teams
