Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd in Hatfield is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a commercial building maintenance team. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and support on-site operations.

The role offers a £45,000 salary, standard hours 08:00-17:00, and opportunities for training and career progression, with overtime potential.

You should be multi-skilled, with City & Guilds Level 2, and able to communicate effectively with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically qualified with City & Guilds Level 2.
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Good communication skills and client facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant and equipment on site.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on pumps, motors, seals, bearings, AHUs/FCUs.
• Inspect water treatment and BMS systems as part of routine checks.
• Assist with basic electrical duties and general building fabric tasks.
• Escort specialist subcontractors and maintain site safety standards.

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider - Commercial Building – Hatfield, Hertfordshire - £45,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer based in a commercial building in Hatfield, Hertfordshire. He or she will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in Mechanical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £45,000, overtime, further training and a potential route into further career progression.

Hours of work

• Monday to Friday – 08:00-17:00

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical plant
• Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
• Air Conditioning - Air Handling Units / Fan Coil Units (Filter changes, cleaning)
• Water Treatment (Temperature checks / Not dosing)
• Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers etc
• Monitor the BMS systems.
• Basic electrical duties (Lamp changes etc)
• General building fabric
• Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

• Mechanically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2 (Essential)
• Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
