Questech is recruiting on behalf of our client in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer. This client operates a fast-paced Textile Manufacturing facility experiencing substantial growth.

The Person

• Worked as a Mechanical Engineer / Maintenance Technician / Multi-skilled Engineer
• NVQ Level 3 (Apprentice Trained)
• Trustworthy, Motivated, Problem Solver
• Experienced in a manufacturing environment
• Proficient in written, numerical, and verbal communication skills
• Good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with Maintenance Management Systems & software

The Role

• Reactive maintenance: Responding to breakdowns to ensure production resumes as quickly and safely as possible
• Attend breakdowns promptly and make repairs of the highest quality
• Complete regular machine maintenance programmes to reduce downtime and complete relevant paperwork
• Planned Preventative Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance in line with the site schedule
• Liaise with other departments to ensure tasks are completed with minimal impact on operations
• Ensure all engineering work in the value stream complies with Quality, Safety, Health & Environment policies and procedures

This role operates on a Continental Shift Pattern - 4 days on, 4 days off - 12-hour days and nights.

The basic salary ranges from £46,500 to £47,500 per annum.
