Job summary

Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for its Hull site on a permanent basis. The role covers planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Factory environment with 4-on, 4-off shift pattern; you will ensure safe, efficient operations and collaborate with production, quality and operational teams to drive improvements and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Maintenance experience within manufacturing, production or processing.
• Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and control systems.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work the advertised shift pattern.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.
• Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.
• Ensure all work meets health, safety and environmental standards.
• Support and share knowledge with colleagues.
