Aqumen Recruitment is recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a global manufacturer in Hull. You will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment to minimise downtime and improve reliability.

The role requires strong electrical fault-finding, PLC awareness and the ability to work 4-on, 4-off shifts within a permanent, full-time contract. CMMS/TPM experience and schematics reading are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Maintenance experience in manufacturing or processing environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with drives, inverters, motors, sensors and PLC-controlled machinery.
• Ability to read and amend engineering drawings.
• Proactive maintenance mindset and reliability focus.

Responsibilities

• Complete planned preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work with PLC-controlled equipment, drives, inverters, motors and sensors.
• Improve machine availability and overall equipment performance.
• Record maintenance activity using CMMS and TPM systems.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements.
• Support engineering projects and continuous improvement activity.
• Work closely with production, quality and operational teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and safety documentation.

Salary: £47,916.56 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off – 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights, 4 off

Aqumen Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established global manufacturer to recruit an experiencede ElectricalMaintenance Engineer for its Hull site.

You will provide planned and reactive maintenance across automated production equipment, helping to reduce downtime, improve reliability and maintain safe, efficient operations.

This role suits a qualified engineer with strong electrical fault-finding skills who is looking for stability, technical variety and further development.
