Job summary

We can SolviT Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Leicester (LE5) with a salary of £45,500 per year. The role is permanent/full-time, Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30, working on-site in a manufacturing environment.

You will perform reactive and preventative maintenance on equipment, coordinate downtime with production, and operate testing tools while machines run to keep operations smooth. On-call duties are included.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance within FMCG or heavy goods sectors.
• Willingness to work on an on-call rota.
• Stable career history and good teamwork.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer with a background in FMCG or Heavy good machinery, this is to join a global business where you are a member of a team not just a number on site.

If you're looking for a role where you aren't just working on the usual conveyor systems all the time, but also working on large scale manufacturing machinery then this is your chance.

What you will be doing

• You will have the standard responsibilities of reactive & preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Regulate downtime by working with production staff on preventative maintenance.
• Using testing/measuring equipment while machines are running to ensure smooth operations
• Participating in the emergency on call rota

To be considered

• Previous mechanical maintenance experience in either FMCG or heavy goods sectors
• Flexible to work the on call rota as needed
• Previous welding and/or fabrication experience is a bonus
• Stable career history
• Good teamwork
• Enthusiastic attitude
