Yolk Recruitment is currently working on behalf of a growing manufacturer that has signed a long-term contract to supply into the UK's biggest names. With significant investment on site in 2024 and more planned for 2025/2026, they are now looking to recruit additional Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join the team working on a 3-shift pattern.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the multiskilled maintenance team with a structured training plan and career advancement in the role of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.

Responsibilities

1. Work on a 3-shift pattern, reporting to the Engineering Manager.
2. Perform both proactive and reactive maintenance routines on facilities and production equipment in a timely manner, adhering to all health and safety requirements.
3. Provide electrical and mechanical support and knowledge on all lines within the plant.
4. Conduct equipment testing, fault finding, and repairs.
5. Ensure maximum machine availability at minimal cost through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules.
6. Collaborate with other plant engineers and team leaders to focus on achieving machine maintenance hours on planned work.
7. Ensure compliance and work safely, with health and safety in mind at all times.
8. Implement a total quality approach across the site.

Candidate Requirements

• Time-served Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in engineering.
• At least 4 years of experience working in a multiskilled role, ideally in a similar FMCG environment.
