Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Type: Permanent

Location: Cadishead, Manchester

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Shift: Day shifts - 8am to 4.30pm (overtime available)

Time recruitment is currently working with a reputable client based in Cadishead who is looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join an established team of professionals that have been with the business for over 20 years. Previous experience in waste disposal would be beneficial. Experience working with pipes, pumps, and hydraulic equipment would also be advantageous. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting the maintenance team with all aspects of maintenance and project development
• Providing an effective maintenance service
• Diagnosing, testing, maintaining, and installing mechanical plant equipment
• Cost control
• Identifying improvements to current processes
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations on site

The successful candidate must:

• Have a HNC or NVQ in mechanical engineering
• Have proven experience in mechanical maintenance
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be available to work in all weather conditions
