Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work as part of a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety of all stakeholders
- Lead by example, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain full knowledge of project Mechanical systems and track installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that rooms/areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use, aligned with the construction program
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress
- Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete works efficiently
- Review the master construction schedule to identify opportunities and optimize sequencing of Mechanical and CSA activities
- Chair and contribute to onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower levels
- Review and ensure deliverables from mechanical stakeholders, including programs, work documents, risk assessments, progress reports, and handover packs
