Reporting to the MEP Construction Manager in the region, the key requirements include:
- 3rd level Building Services / Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Trade background
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a site-based MEP role
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work within a high-performance team
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure Mechanical activities are completed safely, prioritizing health and safety for all stakeholders
- Lead by example, promoting company-specific health & safety policies and procedures
- Be aware of hazardous energies and site-specific management strategies (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of project Mechanical systems and monitor their installation for compliance with specifications and schedule
- Understand project-specific commissioning requirements and assist in developing Commissioning Implementation Plans (CIPs)
- Conduct site inspections of Mechanical, BAS/BMS, MEP & CSA works to ensure compliance
- Coordinate that areas meet CSA and MEP quality standards for beneficial use in line with the construction program
- Provide stakeholders with sufficient information to facilitate system installation and progress
- Ensure contractors and vendors are properly resourced to complete their work efficiently
- Review the master construction schedule for opportunities to optimize sequencing and focus on work faces
- Lead and participate in onsite and offsite meetings with project stakeholders
- Issue weekly progress and cost reports as required
- Manage subcontractor activities, tracking progress and manpower
- Review and ensure production of project documents such as construction programs, work trackers, risk assessments, and handover packs
